Located 15 km from the Tibet border is the new Dip Jyoti (small flame) primary school. It was built with the cooperation of local villagers and is being supported by three communities. The construction was done in a manner that will support two more floors as the need increases. On opening day it was k thr 4 with 60 students but each day has brought more students from the surrounding villages who would have otherwise not had the oportunity for a formal education. This would have severely restricted their earning power as they enter the adult world.
