During the nursery school construction, we were contacted by the chief of the Omkoi subdistrict.
He explained that he had been a teacher for many years and was very aware of the importance of preschool and playgrounds.
He was very familiar with the UNICEF paper on this subject and asked if we would consider designing and constructing play grounds for the 14 preschools in the sub district.
We agreed to start with 4 schools and see how the project was utilized and cared for.
We inspected the 4 sites and returned to chaing mai to design and construct the equipment.
We returned 60 dayss later and each village had prepared the land and met us to offer their assistance with the equipment installation.
We planned to return in the fall and complete 10 more playgrounds.
