On Sunday July 14th, Tanja, Vladyslav and I joined our partner’s team "Ptaha" at the Railroad Station to receive 49 children.
This large group had travelled from the hot spot of Dnipro for a brief, relaxing time in western Ukraine. There, the Children had a chance to hear birds instead of sirens and to sleep in comfort without awaking and seeking safety in an underground shelter.

After the brief camp, they arrived at the station by bus and joined us on the train platform for their journey back to Dnipro. 

We helped them onto the train and got them settled. 

We then loaded into the train food and drinks for their journey home.
 

As the train slowly pulled away, we waved at the children and prayed for their safety.
As the train disappeared from sight, we dried our eyes and drove our emergency vehicle back to our residence.
