A LIGHT IN THE DARKNESS
The Russians were pounding Kharkiv and more than 7,500 Ukrainians had been evacuated.
Father Serhiy has been our trusted partner in Kharkiv since the beginning of this nightmare war. He has distributed the clothes and medical supplies and has also delivered large quantities of food. Much of this food was prepared by volunteers and has been served in the open air of the Church grounds.
Father Serhiy contacted us with his urgent request.
The electricity power is almost non-existent and many families are living in the dark with mobile phones which no longer work.
Every time, which is constant, that the air raid screams, more than two dozen rush to the underground shelter which Father Serhiy has prepared in the basement of the Church.
There they sit in silence and darkness as they wait for the "All Clear" announcement.
We called our Igor #2 and gave him our requirements.
Within a few hours, Igor #2 had located everything we requested and even arranged a discount for us.
Everything was immediately transported from Lviv to Kharkiv.
The following day there was some power in Kharkiv.
These small powerful units are amazing and we are so grateful that we were able to do this. We also sent a solar panel to recharge these units when there is no fuel for the generators which are located at the church.
