TIME TO GO BACK TO SCHOOL BUT WHERE ARE THE DESKS AND CHAIRS?

The Mayor of Bibrka, Roman Grynus and the School Director, Galina Gavinska, contacted us with good news and bad news.

The Good news: School will start again and all of the resident students of Bibrka are ready.

The Bad news: The town of Bibrka has received 25 new students from the war zone of the East and there are no desks and chairs for these new students and no budget.

Tanja and I decided to provide the money for an order to be placed with a local manufacturer and all went smoothly.

We are happy to report that the desks and chairs were made quickly. The height of the desks and chairs is adjustable. The quality is very good and the new students are now attending class .

We returned to Bibrka to see the school now filled with students.

The School Director, Galina, invited us to visit new students and their classroom.

The Director informed us that half of the 800 students go one week to school and the other week they study online. The reason behind this decision made the biggest impression on us.

The school bomb shelter can receive only up to 500 people and it is obligatory that everybody goes to bomb shelter during the air raids.

We can only hope that this horrible war will be over soon, so that all Ukrainian Children can enjoy a trauma free childhood.
