A TALE OF TWO PRINCESSES

Let us present to you A TALE OF TWO PRINCESSES.

"It was the best of times. It was the worst of times....."

Millions of Ukrainian children have fled the country for safety.

The second largest number of these children have gone to Romania.

One of the most important things for these children is to have a safe person to talk to and share their hopes and fears.

Oftentimes, these children are unwilling to share with a parent, sibling, teacher or priest.

That is when the access to a Child Helpline is essential.

We were contacted by Child Helpline International/Amsterdam.

We were told that Romanian children as well as the Ukrainian refugee children needed more native speakers and telephone lines due to the overwhelming demand.

UNICEF provided a grant so that more operators could take the calls but the computer issue remained.

They informed us that the Child Helpline of Romania was in urgent need of 5 special computers that have the ability to tie into the network.

The Bridge of Life donated one computer using the kind donation of Mr. James Palmer.

The Bridge of Life contacted HRH Crown Princess Katherine of Serbia and explained the need for 4 more special computers..

Princess Katherine of Serbia contacted her long time friend, Her Majesty Margareta, Custodian of the Romanian Crown.

The response was immediate.

Her Majesty Margareta donated the 4 additional special computers.

It is a wonderful old story of two Royal families joining together to solve a social problem.

We are so very grateful to these two amazing ladies, Members of Royalty, for coming to the aid of these children.
