A NEW INCUBATOR FOR PATHEIN HOSPITAL

Pathein, Myanmar has 400,000 citizens and one hospital with 200 beds.
Last year there were 2000 births and 20% were premature.
At least 50 babies died because of only one incubator.
On hearing there statistics, we immediately ordered an additional incubator.
Our medical technician trained all the nurses and doctors in the ward.
At the same time a baby was born who weighed 1.2kg/2 lbs. 8 ounces, and was immediately placed in the new incubator
The baby survived and has now returned with mother to their home.
According to the Director of the hospital, more than 50 baby's lives will be saved each year due to this purchase.
